The key point that Dr. John Gray conveys in this video is communication is what keeps the passion alive in your relationship. Dr. Gray starts out by stressing the importance of developing good communication skills during the first three years of your relationship otherwise the passion will go away. During the first three years there is passion and attraction, but after the first three years the relationship begins to settle down. When that happens, Dr. Gray continues on to say that typically men become less interested and put less into the relationship.

Dr. Gray discusses women's "improvement gene", that women always see how to improve something. Women see the big picture and will fall in love with the potential that they see in a man. Man thinks, "if it works, don't mess with it". Whereas, woman thinks, "if it works, let's see how we can make it work better." When a woman falls in love with a man, she thinks about how she can improve him.

Woman want to bring out the best in a man and improve him, where as man you to stay the same. The truth is that women do bring out the best in men, it's just that the way women try go change men causes men not to change.
