Aries
(Mar 21 - Apr 20)

If one person will submit to the other "to rule the roost'" there should be much compatibility between two persons born in the fire sign. Though there is a lack of contrasting personalities, there will be a sympathetic understanding on both parties regarding the qualities and shortcoming of the other. It would seldom be a peaceful or quiet relationship with the exception that Aries likes to rest his/her batteries in solitude from time to time. Hopefully both would choose the same time.

However, a note of warning should be sounded here. If both Ariens have dominant and forceful aspects in their horoscopes, conflict will arise as both partners desire to be head of the household and family.

As there are many instances of these two going the distance for life, but a divorce can be rather violent and heart breaking, this should be considered. The possible court battle could be legendary! With high risk there can be high reward though, and if these two do it just right, their relationship will be the most exciting adventure in their life.

Taurus

This fantastic match should make a winning combination. The Taurean nature is ruled by Venus, the goddess of love, this is what an Arien always seeks in a mate. Taurus appreciates Aries outward nature and Aries appreciates Taurus"s earthy nature; there would be far too many differences to expect it to last. What they appreciate about one another is also what they would dislike over time.Can be sexually dynamic but there's not much hope for anything more.

Though the Taurus half of this relationship, being slow moving, may find the going a bit hectic, excitement may help to stimulate the friendship. Ariens should omit temperamental outbursts, for Taurus are not highly emotional on the surface, they can become obstinate and ferocious as a bull when it sees red.

If ever a relationship was bound to make it in the long haul, this is it. Should a breakup occur with these two, the Taurean may come surprisingly to life, giving fiery Aries a run for their money! This is not likely with these two however, as most matches of these are likened to "a match made in Heaven".

Though Aries is an impatient, energetic sign, rather domineering , Taurus should not have any difficulty finding compatibility with this sign. The slower-moving Taurus may find the going a bit hectic, but the excitement nay help stimulate courtship since Taurus is a highly emotional sign, though very obstinate when dictated to. The Taurean, ruled by Venus, goddess of love will usually show the Mars-ruled Aries the error of his ways when they meet on a common level.

Gemini

This combination sometimes have a great deal of bickering because of strong differences about sex. Gemini being a mercurial sign, where the mind plays an important part in all love making, and the emotional Martian Arien may be too much for the conventional nature of the Gemini.

All in all , Gemini respects the refined, intellectual approach to continual bliss. Impatient Ariens may find this frustrating, after awhile may try to find a less difficult companion.

Not a great match up, but can work with understanding and effort. As with any relationship, love truly does conquer all. Gemini, after all, may end up being the "reality check" Aries needs to calm down. Don't get me wrong, Aries is not a monster, they in fact, have many fantastic qualities! It is just that the Arien energy level is so high, that it may prove too much for Gemini.

Cancer
(Jun 22 - Jul 22)

This combination is usually hard to match. Cancerians are ruled by the moon, making them moody , sentimental and secretive. Their tendency is to live in the past, and they have a difficult time forgetting serious quarrels or disagreement that may occur early in marriage. Ever heard the saying that "If you make it through the first year the rest is easy."? This is true of this couple. The secretive nature of Cancer has the potential of clashing with the openness of Aries. Though Aries can be moody too, it is not quite so bad as Cancer. What happens when you get two moody people living together? Chaos! OR Balance... That's right, one can counteract the other.

Example: Aries is in a great mood, but Cancer is not. The Aries may "cheer up" the cancer thus creating a balance. (Of course, this could be reversed, making it risky.)

What may be of little concern to an Arien , may be very traumatic block to Cancer. Though the cancerian holds on with the tendencies of a crab, he has a tendency to back away from situations which may have been hurtful in the past.

Leo
(Jul 23 - Aug 22)

This is usually a great combination, with both sides being emotional in their make up, Leo will lionize an Arien mate. This is particularly true if Aries will allow Leo to hold the center of the floor on occasions. Sharing the limelight is important on Leo's part however, as Aries will feel the need to be on stage once in a while as well.

In the lion's den the impetuous Aries lover will find a welcome home. Their sex life could be legendary and infidelity kept to a minimum, or eliminated all together. This is because they will probably find what they want from each other, and not have a physical compulsion to stray. Leo admires the aggressive tendencies of fiery contemporaries. This is exactly what Ariens are, making this an ideal union.

Virgo

This combination is very similar to the Aries - Gemini combination. Virgo being ruled by Mercury , does not blend well astrologically with the Martian tendencies of Aries. Virgos are to fault finding and precise for the Aries personality. Where Virgo will be logical and analytical, Aries will become impatient. There are many relationships between these two that do work out very well, it is a constant challenge. Virgos want a well ordered existence and won't be happy under Arien dictatorship. The prissy Virgo will not condone a bossy Aries.

If the Arien allows Virgo space, and acknowledges and uses the virtues of Virgo, (ie. intellect, precision and logic) the two can make for a dynamic relationship. The very things that make this team bad, could make it good! Also, if the Virgoean allows Aries the leadership that they are so capable of, you may end up in a relationship where one is "the brains" as the other is "the brawn". Unfortunately this works out great for friendships, it is difficult with intimate relationships. But it CAN work.

Libra
(Sep 24 - Oct 23)

A great combination of Mars and Venus. The warm and passionate Libran will make a welcome home for the fiery, impetuous Aries. This will be particularly true if both persons are on the same cultural and intellectual plane. This could be a poor match if either one of them is from a culture or religion varying from their own.

Aries appreciates the passion and emotion that Librians possess. However too much of a good thing could spoil it. There must be balance for this to work. There is a wider the ordinary margin for error though, and most of these combinations will go the distance. Libra's refined and artistic temperament yearns for reciprocal attachments. And this is something Aries can provide.

Scorpio

Since there is no room for two heads in one family, this combination is not an ideal match. With Mars dominating both signs it makes for very positive temperaments unless their are several benign natal planetary aspects. In simple terms, there are conditions which when meet in their natal chart, (a synastry will determine this) they may actually be a good match. This is rare however, because both are natural born leaders and we all know, only one can lead.

While Scorpio may adore the Aries from a sexual standpoint , their more mundane interests would be constantly at odds. Scorpio may also be intimidated by Aries leadership tendencies, and this may lead to some resentments.

Sagittarius
(Nov 23 - Dec 21)

This first and third sign combination of the fiery Trinity usually makes an ideal partnership. In fact, my own Mother and Father are this combination. They stayed together for 19 years. Upon close examination of their synastry, there are aspects that make the long haul difficult. Most people of these matches are in it for life.

The Mars-Jupiter duo are usually an ideal match for each other. Both are creatures of impulse. Both can have outside interest without conflict or friction from the other. The Sagittarius banner is "liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"; Aries is usually willing to subscribe to this theory. And for that reason, this makes them a good match.

Capricorn
(Dec 22 - Jan 20)

Not a hopeful combination. Saturn, represented by Father Time, is the Capricorn standard bearer. Thus, Capricorns are ussually very patient. Capricorn are traditionally laid back and easy going. Ariens are too impatient to cope with the slow, methodical plodding of the Capricorn nature. The Capricorn goat will butt up against the Martian will and an impasse is bound to occur. In the matter of sex there is an affinity; however, their inherent personalities clash.

Here we see the combination of a fire sign with an earth sign. Aries is a fiery in nature while capricorn is more down to earth, cautious and reserved. Aries prefers to take action while capricorn would rather plan and wait. Without a great deal of tolerence, there is not much hope for this union.

Aquarius

The unpredictable Aquarian may tax an Arien mate's patience while the instability of the Arien temperament will surely provoke the sign of good will and self-sacrifice. Such are the bones of contention that made this partnership a gamble. The planet Uranus, which rules Aquarius, is unpredictable in its actions; therefore, Aquarians have a tendency to procrastinate too much to please the Arien "up and at ' em" characteristics.

This could possibly be a good relationship, but will require a constructive attitude on both parts. Both signs are independant natures but at times aquarius' will do things without notice with which aries may become impatient.

Pisces
(Feb 20 - Mar 20)

Having a sentimental nature the Pisces finds little comfort in the aggressive Arien. Pisceans are romantic and they desire the delicate approach that the Arien lacks. Neptune, the planet of the higher mind , gives pisces an ethereal quality. Unless the Arien mate is wiling to take a trip to the clouds now and then, the partnership will prove incompatible.

Pisces will inadvertantly put out the fire of aries. There is not much that is compatible about these two,unless one can appreciate the diversity of human beings.
